HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are known or suspected to be on site <br /> i <br /> Substances Involved Concentrations <br /> Gasoline (?) unknown <br /> BTE&X (?) unknown <br /> Other petroleum-based products (?) unknown <br /> The primary hazards of each are identified as follows <br /> 1 Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors They are flammable and have low solubility in water <br /> Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, <br /> nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system <br /> Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, <br /> dizziness,and loss of coordination Certain components of gasoline(BTE&X etc)are known <br /> or suspected carcinogens <br /> The following additional hazards are expected on site tWical work related to facilrtv Noise, falling <br /> AGE NC SHSP/ver2 0/mm/3 96 <br />
