Additional Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> FIVE STAR MARINA <br /> 345 Yosemite Street, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Terry McDonald of Five Star Marina, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this Additional Site Assessment Work Plan for the property located at <br /> 345 Yosemite Street, Stockton, California (site) The scope of work Includes the advancement of <br /> eight on-site soil probe borings and the Installation of three additional groundwater monitoring wells <br /> to delineate the vertical and lateral extents of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination The location <br /> of the site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1, structures, former underground storage <br /> tank (UST) locations, and existing and proposed soil boring and monitoring well locations are <br /> Illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This work plan is prepared In accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at an elevation of approximately 10 feet above mean sea level (MSL) In an <br /> industrial area of low topographic relief, approximately '/4-mile east of the Intersection of Fremont <br /> Street and Pershing Avenue in Stockton, California Two main clusters of structures are located on <br /> the property(Figure 2) Most of the site was used as a ship building warehouse from the early 1910s <br /> through the mid 1980s The remaining portions are presently occupied by an auto repair shop,a sheet <br /> metal shop, and a boat storage facility The site is currently operated by Five Star Marina and other <br /> light industrial businesses The surface of the site Is generally covered with asphalt and concrete <br /> 21 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC/HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> The site is situated within the southern portion of the Great Valley Geomorphic Province (GVGP) <br /> of California, a large, elongate, northwest trending, asymmetric structural trough,the northern and <br /> southern portions of the province have been designated the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, <br /> respectively The GVGP is bordered by the Coast Ranges to the west, the Klamath Mountains and <br /> Cascade Range to the north, and the Sierra Nevada to the east, and has been filled with sediments <br /> derived from both marine and continental sources Thickness of the sedimentary fill ranges from thin <br /> veneers along the valley edges to more than 20,000 feet in the south central portion of the valley The <br /> sedimentary formations range in age from Jurassic to Recent,with the older deposits being primarily <br /> marine in origin and the younger deposits,continental Continental-derived sediments were typically <br /> deposited in lacustrine,fluvial,and alluvial environments with the mountain ranges surrounding the <br /> valley as sediment sources (Olmsted and Davis, 1961) The site itself is located on unconsolidated <br /> iand semi-consolidated alluvium, lake, playa, and terrace deposits of Quaternary age (California <br /> t Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,Inc <br />
