Site Background Information <br /> ' FIVE STAR MARINA <br /> 345 Yosemite Street, Stockton, California <br /> During the course of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for a real estate evaluation, AGE <br /> researched the site history,conducted a review of available historic public records, and interviewed <br /> the current land owner and representatives The history of the parcel of interest was derived from the <br /> Phase I research <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located in an industrial area of low topographic relief, located 1/a-mile east of the <br /> intersection of Fremont Street and Pershing Avenue at an elevation of approximately 10 feet above <br /> mean sea level(MSL) Two main clusters of structures are located on the property(Figure 2) Most <br /> of the site was used as a ship building warehouse from the early 1910s through the mid 1980s The <br /> remaining portions are presently occupied by an auto repair shop, a sheet metal shop, and a boat <br /> storage facility The site is currently operated by Five Star Marina and other light industrial <br /> ' businesses The surface of the site is generally covered with asphalt and concrete <br /> REGIONAL GROUND WATER <br /> ' The estimated depth to ground water at this property is approximately 20 feet below surface grade <br /> (bsg), based on information from Lines of Equal Depth of Water Wells, Fall 1995 published by the <br /> San Joaquin County Flood Control District and Water Conservation District However, San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department(EI-ID)records indicate that the highest ground water was <br /> observed at the site in 1986 at 10 feet bsg During previous site investigations, ground water was <br /> encountered at a depth of 12 feet bsg The prevailing ground water flow direction in this portion of <br /> 1 western Stockton is generally toward the northeast, while localized ground water flow may vary <br /> during winter/summer cycles <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> In May 1986, one 550-gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UST, West UST Area) was <br /> removed from the City of Stockton right-of-way in San Jose Street Total volatile hydrocarbons <br /> (TVH) and volatile aromatics benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) were detected <br /> at concentrations as high as 2,000 mg/kg(milligrams per kilogram)in a single soil sample collected <br /> from the UST excavation <br /> One 4,000-gallon gasoline UST(East UST Area)was removed from the site on 13 November 1997 <br /> • The UST was located in Lindsay Street, between the northern and southern blocks of on-site <br /> buildings Upon removal of the UST, holes were noted at the western end and in the bottom of the <br /> Advanced GeoFnvironmental,Inc <br />
