' Site Background Information Five Star Manna
. Page 3 of 3
On 01 and 05 December 1997, a total of eleven soil probe bonngs (P15 to P25) were established
1 surrounding the East UST area Locations of the soil probe borings are illustrated on Figure 2
TPH-g and BTEX constituents were detected in soil samples collected from the probe boring
1 advanced in the East UST area at concentrations as high as 2,100 mg/kg and 14 mg/kg (xylene),
respectively Hydrocarbon-impacted soil associated with the East UST area appears to be limited to
the former dispenser area(southern edge of Lindsay Street) to a depth of sixteen to seventeen feet
below surface grade, in the saturated soil below ground water
TPH-g was detected in six of eleven grab ground water samples collected from the East UST area
1 at concentrations ranging from 53 µg11 to 100,000 µg11 BTEX constituents were detected in eight
of the ground water samples analyzed at concentrations ranging from 0 55 µg/1 to 1,700 µg11
1 In January 1998, six ground water monitoring wells were installed on-site TPH-g and BTEX
constituents were detected in soil samples collected from MW-1 and MW-5 at 15 feet bsg BTEX
constituents were detected in the 20 foot sample from MW-1, maximum concentrations were
1 detected in sample MWI-15 at 3 9 gg/l TPH-g, 0 007 µg11 benzene, 0 019 µg11 toluene and
0 025 µg/1 xylenes
GROUND WATER MONITORING
1 As of May 2004, TPH-g and BTEX constituents have been detected consistently in ground water
samples from MW-1,but generally at decreasing concentrations TPH-d was detected when it was
' included in the analysis of the ground water samples MTBE has been detected twice,in March 2001
and June 2002, and TBA was detected in March 2000 No other target analytes have been detected
since the initiation of monitoring
' TPH-d and MTBE were detected through March 2001 at low concentrations in ground water samples
collected from well MW-2 These analytes have not been detected since the March 2001 sampling
1 event TPH-g and BTEX constituents were detected in August 1999 in MW-3, MW-4 and MW-5
MTBE and ETBE were detected through six sampling events from MW-4 Since June 2002,neither
MTBE nor ETBE have been detected in MW-4 All samples from MW-6 have been non-detect,and
1 zgmnli-q have not hpPn r-n11PrtPr1 rPranthr frnm MW-fi
1
i1
i
1
1
