18 November 2004
• AGE-NC Project No 97-0351
32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES
The results of laboratory analysis of ground water samples collected at the site on 22 April 2004 are
' as follows
• TPH-g was detected in the sample from groundwater monitoring well MW-1 and MW-UST
at concentrations of 1,700 micrograms per liter (µg/1) and 640 µg11, respectively
• BTEX compounds were detected In the sample from monitoring well MW-1 at
concentrations of 37 µ.g/1 benzene,3 5 µg/1 toluene,2 6µg11 ethylbenzene and 11 8 µg/l total
' xylenes
• MTBE was not detected In the samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-5 and
MW-UST
• No other petroleum hydrocarbon compounds were detected at or above laboratory detection
limits
Laboratory results of samples analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons are summarized in Table 2 and
Table 3 The laboratory report (CTEL Project No CT214-0404173), quality assurance/quality
control reports and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix C Documents confirming the
upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to
' GeoTracker are included as Appendix D
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the results of this quarterly monitoring event,AGE concludes
The round water flow direction was inferred to be northeast at adient of approximately
• g 1' pp Y
0 002 ft/ft which is consistent with previously determined flow directions and gradients
• Dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the samples collected from wells MW-1
and MW-UST
' • Benzene concentrations m MW-1 were significantly above the DHS'Maximum Contaminant
Level of 1 0 µg11 in drinking water
' • At the present time, neither the vertical extent nor the western lateral extent of dissolved
hydrocarbons have been defined
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
