The subcontractor provides its own safety equipmen in accordance with its health and safety.plan <br /> requirements. The subcontractor will comply withal regulations, including OSHA 29 CFR <br /> 1910.134 and 8 CCR 5144 (Respiratory Protection), 29 CFR 1910.120 and Title 8, CCR, Section <br /> 5192 (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency esponse), 29 CFR 1926 (Excavations), and 29 <br /> CFR 1910.95 (Noise Hazards and Hearing Protection). <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> BSK will have site health and safety oversight and coordinate responsibilities for BSK employees. . <br /> Each subcontractor, as applicable, will be held accountable for the safe and healthful performance of <br /> work by each of their employees, subcontractors, or support personnel who may enter the site. <br /> Subcontractors involved in handling contaminated soils and groundwater must require their <br /> employees, visitors, subcontractors,and their suppliers/vendors to comply with the minimum <br /> standards set forth by OSHA and the subcontractor's ite health and safety plan while on the work <br /> site and in the conduct of BSK contracts. Specific operations not covered in this plan will be <br /> governed by other applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Subcontractors are required to <br /> know and comply with safety regulations that apply t their operations. <br /> Provisions of this health and safety plan along with a plicable regulations issued by governmental <br /> entities will be strictly adhered to by BSK. A copy of this health and safety plan will be kept on-site <br /> and available to BSK employees. All on-site BSK employees must read and sign the BSK Health <br /> and Safety Compliance Form, indicating they have read and understand the Site Health and Safety <br /> Plan. <br /> Project Manager(BSK & Associates) <br /> The Project Manager(PM) directs on-site sampling, investigations and operational efforts of BSK <br /> personnel. The PM may delegate all or part of these duties to an appointed Site Safety Officer <br /> (SSO), if applicable. At the site, the PM and/or the SSO has primary responsibility for: <br /> Availability and proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment by on-site BSK <br /> personnel. <br /> Awareness by on-site BSK personnel of provisions of this plan, instruction of on-site <br /> BSK personnel in work practices necessary to maintain safety, and familiarity by on- <br /> site BSK personnel of emergency procedures. <br /> Establishing that BSK field personnel have a rninimum of 40 hours of health and <br /> safety training and appropriate field experience, and have been fit tested for <br /> respirators, if required. <br /> A-2 <br />
