This model should
include the transport of site-specific petroleum hydrocarbons, potential relevant migration
pathways, potential receptors, as well as a prediction when hydrocarbon concentrations will
return to background conditions, and propose a method to test this model.
Also, before this site can be considered for closure, you need to evaluate the potential risk
posed by vapor intrusion inside the buildings located at this site. Please submit a work plan
to EHD that will assess vapor intrusion within the existing onsite buildings, or provide a
rational, with technical support, for excluding vapor intrusion into the buildings as a potential
i hazard.for this site.
Lastly, please provide.calculations for sorbed. and dissolved hydrocarbon mass at this site.
Submit the requested mass calculations, work, plan for one additional boring, work plan for
vapor intrusion study, rose diagram, and fate and transport model to EHD by October 20,
2006.
Please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-3456 or viuccartney(a';sieehd.com, if you have
any questions regarding this letter.
Donna Heran, REHS,Director
Environmental Health Department
Victoria L.
