I r <br /> CAMBRIA <br /> October 19, 2004 <br /> Ms Vicki McCartney <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department ` <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue,Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202-2708 <br /> Re Site Investigation Report <br /> Former Shell Service Station <br /> 1160 West Yosemite Avenue OCT 2 1 2004 <br /> Manteca,California <br /> SAP Code 168801 ENVIRON[VILNT NLALTH <br /> Incident No 97422510 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Dear Ms McCartney <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambna) prepared this report on behalf of Equilon <br /> Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell) to document site investigation activities <br /> performed at the referenced site This investigation was performed to further assess the extent of <br /> gasoline constituents in soil and groundwater beneath the site Cambria followed the scope of <br /> work presented in the February 7, 2003 Site Assessment Work Plan prepared by Wayne Perry, <br /> iInc and approved in San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) <br /> correspondence dated February 28, 2003 Due to encroachment and private property access <br /> issues the work plan was altered slightly with regard to boring and well locations These <br /> alterations were agreed upon verbally by SJCEHD staff The work was performed in accordance <br /> with SJCEHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines <br /> SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject property is a former Shell service station located on the southeast corner of West <br /> Yosemite Avenue and South Union Road in a commercial area of Manteca, California(Figure 1) <br /> A historical site map indicates the former station layout included five dispenser islands, an <br /> underground fuel storage tank(UST)complex, and a waste oil UST The former station layout is <br /> shown on Figure 2 After Shell ceased operations at this location, the property was divided into <br /> two parcels, which have subsequently been redeveloped as retail stores The current layout of <br /> the property is shown on Figure 2 .. <br /> Cambria PREVIOUS WORK <br /> Environmental !_ <br /> Technology,Inc 1983 UST Removal According to Manteca Fire Department (MFD) records, two 8,000-gallon, <br /> OlPerkins Street two-5,000-gallon, and one 550-gallon USTs were removed from the site during 1983 The <br /> P 0 sox 259 <br /> Sonoma CA 95476 <br /> Tel(707)935-4850 <br /> Fax(707)935-6649 <br />
