Work Plan Addendum <br /> RAINWATER CAR WASH <br /> ' 420 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Phil Elder of Rain Water Car Wash,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc(AGE)has <br /> ' prepared this work plan addendum for the installation of six multi-level ground water monitoring <br /> wells at 420 West Yosemite Avenue,Manteca,California(site).The location of the site is illustrated <br /> on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan addendum complies with letter directives from the California Regional Water Quality <br /> ' Control Board(RWQCB)-Central Valley Region dated 02 March 2001 and the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD)dated 09 March 2001 (Appendix A).This work plan <br /> addendum is being submitted to characterize and delineate the vertical extent of petroleum <br /> ' hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water at the site and is in accordance with RWQCB <br /> guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites. <br /> This work plan provides the scope of work and procedures for installation of seven(7)multi-level <br /> ground water monitoring wells at the site. <br /> ' 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> ' The site is located at 420 West Yosemite Avenue, at the southeast corner of Yosemite Avenue and <br /> Jessie Street in a topographically flat area at an elevation between 30 and 35 feet above mean sea <br /> level in Manteca,San Joaquin County,California.The site is within the northeast quarter of Section <br /> 5, Township 2 South, Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Manteca Quadrangle, 7.5- <br /> Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1952, photo revised 1987). <br /> ' 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is presently operated as a fueling facility and a mini-market. One 10,000-gallon UST, one <br /> 6,000-gallon UST and one 4,000-gallon gasoline UST were formerly located on the west section of <br /> ' the property.One 12,000 gallon gasoline UST is presently located on the east section of the property. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> In December 1998, three gasoline USTs (UST Nos. 1, 2 and 3) and associated dispensers/product <br /> ' piping were removed from a west section of the site(see Figure 2).Upon removal,soil samples were <br /> collected from the floor of the excavation and beneath product piping.Total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> quantified as gasoline(TPH-g)were detected in soil samples collected beneath the east ends of the <br /> ' Advanced GmEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
