Cone Penetrometer Testing Site Investigation - Fourth Quarter 2000 <br /> RAINWATER CAR WASH <br /> 420 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr Phil Elder of Rainwater Car Wash,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this report of findings for 420 West Yosemite Avenue (the site), Manteca, California <br /> The report documents procedures and results for cone penetrometer testing (CPT) conducted at the <br /> ' site during December 2000 (fourth Quarter) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures <br /> and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> ' The objective of this fourth quarter investigation was to characterize and assess the vertical and <br /> horizontal extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and to characterize the geological and hydro- <br /> geological framework underlying the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines <br /> ' established by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Division <br /> (RWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites A summary of previous <br /> investigations at the site was included in Work Plan Addendum - October 2000, dated 26 October <br /> ' 2000, prepared by AGE <br /> The following is a chronology of the CPT investigation <br /> 18 December 2000 - Advanc,ctIWFIL of <br /> CPT soil boring (1'-I) to a depth of 150 fcci bclm,� <br /> surface grade, collect grab water samples at selected depths <br /> • 19 December 2000 - Advancement of CPT soil borings (P-8 and P-9) to a depth OF 150 fCLt i <br /> below surface grade, collect grab water samples at selected depths <br /> • 20 December 2000 - Advancement of CPT soil boring(P-10) to a depth of 150 feet bclo\% <br /> surface grade, collect grab water samples at selected depths <br /> 20 CPT SOIL BORINGS <br /> On 18 19 and 20 December 2000, four sot] borings (P-7, P-8, P-9 and P-10) were advanced on- and <br /> off-site utilizing CPT technology to characterize the geological and hydro-geological framework and <br /> ' to identify potential contaminant-migration pathways beneath the site <br /> ' Based on CPT lithologtc sounding data collected at P-7, P-8, P-9 and P-10, depth-discrete `grab <br /> ground water samples were collected on 18, 19 and 20 December 2000 by revisiting locations o! <br /> CPT soil bonngs P-7, P-8, P-9 and P-10 CPT boring logs are presented to Appendix A, a site plan <br /> ' depicting boring locations is presented to Figure 2 <br /> 4dvarnced Geo)i zivironrnuital lnc <br />
