INTRODUCTION <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 420 West Yosemite <br /> Avenue, Manteca, California(the site) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> ' The objectives for the first quarter 2002 investigation were to characterize, assess and monitor <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in ground water, to characterize ground water flow direction and <br /> ' gradient and to initiate an interim ground water rernediation at the site This report is prepared in <br /> accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB) - Central Valley Region for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> ' Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site were included in AGE's <br /> Interim Remediation Work Plan -June 2001, dated 22 June 2001 <br /> 1 The following is a brief summary of first quarter 2002 site assessment and interim ground water <br /> remediation activities performed at the site <br /> , . 0 21 January through 01 April 2002 - Initiate interim "pump-and-treat" ground water <br /> remediation utilizing on-site extraction well EW-1,discharge approximately 291,902 gallons <br /> of extracted and treated water into City of Manteca sanitary sewer system <br /> G 21 January through 06 February 2002 - Initiate the "start-up" sampling period (daily <br /> sampling) for ground water pump-and-treat influent and effluent <br /> ' a 12 February 2002 - Bi-monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent and effluent water <br /> monitoring event <br /> U 22 February 2002 - Bi-monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent and effluent water <br /> monitoring event <br /> G 26 February 2002 - First Quarter 2002 ground water monitoring well sampling event <br /> O1 March 2002 - 131-monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent and effluent water <br /> monitoring event <br /> 0 20 March 2002 - Bi-monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent and effluent water <br /> monitoring event <br /> ' G 01 April 2002 - Bi-monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent and effluent water <br /> monitoring event <br /> i Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> i <br />�1 <br />
