12 March 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0333 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> evaluate a general zone of capture (radius of influence) achievable during ground water extraction <br /> at the site The proposed aquifer pump tests will be designed to obtain general aquifer characteristics <br /> such as hydraulic conductivity, storativity,transmissivity,draw-dawn at a constant pumping rate and <br /> radius of influence <br /> 34 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Results of the aquifer pump test will be presented in a report of findings, based on the results of the <br /> aquifer pump test, a ground water interim remediation system will be designed and proposed to the <br /> PHS-EHD/RWQCB for the site The report of findings will be in a format acceptable to the RWQCB <br /> (Appendtx A guidelines), and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist <br /> 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist Procedures for well installations, well development and aquifer pump test <br /> procedures are described below <br /> 41 DRILLING <br /> A soil boring for installation of a ground water extraction well will be advanced at the site to a depth <br /> of 35 feet bsg utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow-stem dnll ng and 15-inch diameter hollow-stem <br /> augers, a second soil boring for installation of a ground water observation well will be advanced at <br /> the site to a depth of 35 feet bsg utilizing 8-inch diameter hollow--stem augers Soil cuttings and <br /> rinseate generated during drilling activities will be containerized in properly labeled DOT-approved <br /> 55-gallon drums, and stored on-site in an area lacking public access Disposal alternatives for <br /> rinseate and stockpiled soil will be selected based on results of a laboratory analysis <br /> 42 WELL COMPLETION <br /> The ground water extraction boring will be single-completed utdinng 6-inch diameter schedule 40 <br /> polyvinylchloride (PVC) well casing with 20 feet of 030-inch slotted well screen, the observation <br /> well boring will be single-completed utilizing 2-inch diameter schedule 40 PVC well casing with <br /> ZO feet of 0 020-inch slotted well screen The proposed ,Fell construction diagrams are depicted in <br /> Figures 5 and 6 <br /> orf F i, <br /> 1L <br />
