INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Phil Elder of Rainwater Car Wash,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this work plan addendum for cone penetrometer testing (CPT) for the site located at <br /> 420 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, California The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1, <br /> a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> The purpose of the proposed investigation is to delineate the vertical and horizontal extent of <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impact and to characterize the geological and hydro-geological <br /> framework on and off-site This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and <br /> procedures for CPT soil boring advancement and grab ground water sample collection and analysis <br /> On 11 October 2000, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health <br /> Division(PHS-EHD)directed by letter that the vertical extent of petroleum contamination be defined <br /> in both soil and ground water at the site This work plan is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD <br /> and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the <br /> investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 420 West Yosemite Avenue, on the southeast corner at the intersection of <br /> Yosemite Avenue and Jessie Street The site is located in a topographically flat area at an elevation <br /> between 30 and 35 feet above mean sea level in Manteca, San Joaquin County, California The site <br /> is within the northeast quarter of Section 5, Township 2 South, Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base <br /> and Mendian (Manteca Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1952, photo revised <br /> 1987) <br /> The site is presently operated as an automobile fueling facility and a mini-market One 10,000- <br /> gallon, one 6,000-gallon and one 4,000-gallon gasoline USTs were formerly located on the west <br /> section of the property One 12,000 gallon gasoline UST is presently located on the east section of <br /> the property Adjacent properties to the south are primarily residential, properties north, cast and <br /> west of the site are utilized pnmanly for commercial purposes <br /> 2 1 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> In 04 December 1998, three gasoline USTs (LST Nos 1 through 3) and associated <br /> dispensers/product piping were removed from a west section of the site (sec 1-igurc 2) Upon <br /> removal, soil samples were collected from the floor of the excavation and beneath product piping <br /> frlsarrcrd[.�oFn+��unoncnt ;,4 <br />
