INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Phil EIder of Rainwater Car Wash,Advanced GeoEnviIonmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan for the site located at 420 West Yosemite <br /> Avenue, California (site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 A plan of the site is <br /> illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) <br /> directed by letter dated 06 May 1999 the preparation of a work plan to assess petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> impact to subsurface media resulting from the storage and distribution of gasoline at the site This <br /> work plan is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) <br /> sites <br /> The purpose of the proposed investigation is to assess the petroleum hydrocarbon impact to shallow <br /> ground water beneath the site This work plan provides a scope of work and procedures for the <br /> installation and sampling of ground water monitoring wells <br /> 20. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 420 West Yosemite Avenue, on the southeast corner at the intersection of <br /> Yosemite Avenue and Jessie Street The site is located in a topographically flat area at an elevation <br /> between 30 and 35 feet above mean sea level in Manteca, San Joaquin County, California The site <br /> is within the northeast quarter of Section 5, Township 2 South, Range 7 East Mount Diablo Base <br /> and Meridian (Manteca Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1952, photo revised <br /> 1987) <br /> The site is presently operated as a fueling facility and a mini-market One 10,000-gallon, one 6,000- <br /> gallon and one 4,000-gallon gasoline USTs were formerly located on the west section of the <br /> property One 12,000 gallon gasoline UST is presently located on the east section of the property <br /> Adjacent properties to the south are primarily residential, properties north, east and west of the site <br /> are utilized primarily for commercial purposes <br /> 2 1 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> .
