1 �. <br /> 01 December 2004 " <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0333 <br /> Page 5of11 <br /> 0 05 foot of floating petroleum product Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured for <br /> s <br /> stabilization at regular purge-volume intervals from each well using an Oakton water analyzer Field <br /> data and logs are provided in Appendix E The purged groundwater from wells MW-1 through MW- <br /> I5 was transferred to the ground water remediation system holding tank for treatment and disposal <br /> The multi-level monitoring wells MW-7 through MW-13 were purged utilizing a Watera Hydro-Lift <br /> II pump equipped with a mechanical arm by lowering and raising a 3/s-inch outer diameter, length- <br /> discrete polyethylene hose equipped with a ball-valve water tip through the top chambers into the <br /> specific water-charged screened section Approximately 1/3 to 43/4 gallons of ground water (a <br /> minimum of three casing-water volumes per well) was purged from multi-level monitoring wells <br /> MW-7 through MW-13 Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization at regular <br /> purge-volume intervals from each well using an Oakton water analyzer Field data and logs are <br /> provided in Appendix E Multi-level well purged ground water was transferred to the ground water <br /> remediation system holding tank for treatment and disposal <br /> ' <br /> 32 FLOATING PETROLEUM PRODUCT <br /> On 23 June 2004, approximately 0 05 foot of a dark orange-brown, floating petroleum product was <br /> encountered in well MW-6 (Appendix F), thereafter, a clear, disposable polyethylene bailer was <br /> utilized at the well to remove the floating petroleum product, bailing activities continued <br /> (approximately 1%gallons) until product could not be observed <br /> The floating petroleum product captured from bailing activities was placed inside a Department of <br /> Transportation(D O T )-approved steel drum and stored at the southeast section ofthe site,in an area <br /> lacking public access <br /> 1 <br /> 33 GROUND WATER SAMPLING <br /> Ground water samples were collected from purged wells MW-1 through MW-5 utilizing new,2-inch <br /> diameter disposable polyethylene bailers, ground water samples were collected from purged wells <br /> MW-7 through MW-13 utilizing 3/s-inch diameter polyethylene tubing and the above referenced <br /> Watera Hydro-Lift II system Ground water samples were transferred into 40-m1 EPA-approved <br /> VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative Care was taken to <br /> ' ensure that visible air bubbles were not present in the vials after tilling and capping Ground water <br /> sample containers were labeled with the well designation, date, time, and sampler's initials <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironrnental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
