"I <br /> � I <br /> Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2003 <br /> RAINWATER CAR WASH <br /> " 420 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, California <br /> ' I ' <br /> r I i <br /> ' 1.0. , INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> II At the,request of Mr Phil Elder, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> ' quarterly report for 420 West Yosemite Avenue (the site), Manteca, California The report ,, <br /> documents procedures and results for ground water momtonng and interim ground water remediation <br /> performed at the site between March 2003 and June 2003 (second quarter) The site setting is' <br /> I ' illustrated on Figure 1, site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The enclosed report was prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the California <br /> k Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank <br /> ' I (UST)'sites Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site were " <br /> included in Appendix A of Quarterly Report- Third Quarter 2002, dated 06 December 2002 <br /> The objectives the of second quarter investigations were to characterize, assess and monitor <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground <br /> ' water,to charactenze ground water flow direction and gradient and to continue ground water pump- <br /> and-treat interim remediation at the site The following is a brief summary of second quarter site <br /> , assessment and interim ground water remediation activities performed at the site' �i ! ,I <br /> k:Between 27 March 2003 and 19 June 2003 - Continued pump-and-treat interim remediation <br /> ' utilizing on-site extraction well EW-1, discharged approximately 231,275 gallons of I <br /> extracted and treated ground water into City of Manteca sanitary sewer system <br /> r ' k <br /> • On 27 March 2003 -AGE performed a monthly monitoring event at the Eground water pump- <br /> and-treat interim remediation system <br /> • On 15 April 2003 -AGE performed a monthly monitoring event at the ground water pump- <br /> and-treat interim remediation system I <br /> On 14 May 2003 =AGE performed a monthly momtonng event at the ground water pump- <br /> ' and-treat interim remediation system <br /> i I J�• 05 & 06 June 2003 - AGE performed a quarterly ground water monitoring event (second �' I <br /> quarter 2003) at wells MW-1 through MW-13 <br /> On 19 June 2003 -AGE performed a montlily monitoring event at the ground water pump- <br /> and-treat interim remediation system <br /> I <br /> I I <br /> ` I <br /> , r <br /> I, I <br /> Advanced G eoEnviron mental,Inc <br /> , <br /> ,ii II I <br />
