• Benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene-and xylene(BTEX)and methyl-tertiary butyl ether(MTBE)
Mi
by EPA Method 8020,
• Tetrachloroethene(PCE), tnchloroethene(TCE),tertiarybutanol(TBA), di-isopropyl ether
' (DIPE),ethyl tert butyl ether(ETBE), tert amyl methyl ether(TAME) and MTBE by EPA
Method 8260 Modified, and
' Total lead (quarterly sampling frequency) by EPA Method 6010/200 7
' 24 INFLUENT MONITORING RESULTS
In accordance with the requirements of CMPWD Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit No 02-1,
monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent sampling was performed for laboratory analysis of
TPH-g, TPH-d, BTEX, MTBE,DIPE, TAME, ETBE, TBA, PCE, TCE and total lead on 06 June,
' 05 August and 26 September 2002
Influent water samples detected TPH-g at concentrations as high as 17,000 micrograms per liter
(µg/l), TPH-d as high as 920 gg/l and BTEX constituents as high as 1,900 gg/l(toluene and xylene)
in Ithe September sample MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260 at concentrations as high as
13,000µg/1 In the June sample TAME was detected on all three occurrences at concentration as high
as 200 gg/l PCE was detected in August and September at concentrations as high as 33 gg/l and
TCE was detected in September at 5 µg/1 During September 2002, ETBE and TBA were detected
for the first time at concentrations of 14 µg/1 and 180 Ag/l, respectively
' 'The laboratory analysis did not detect any, other constituents of concern Analytical results of pump-
and-treat influent-water sarnples(Castle Analytical Laboratory Reference Nos 4951 and 5103) are
summanzed in Table 2, laboratory reports are in Appendix B
' '2 5 EFFLUENT MONITORING RESULTS
4 rL r
In accordance with the requirements of CMPWD Industnal,Wastewater Discharge Permit No 02-1, '
' monthly ground water pump-and-treat effluent monitoring was performed 'for flow rate, TPH-g,
TP,H-d, BTEX, MTBE,DIPE, TAME, ETBE, TBA,PCE,TCE and total lead F
Laboratory analysis of pump-and-treat effluent grab water samples collected on 06 June,05 August,
andr 26 September 2002 did not detect any constituents of concern except TBA during the August
'r and,September 2002'events at concentrations as high as 340 pg/l, no,other target analytes were
detected Analytical results are summarized in Table 2, laboratory reports are in Appendix B
