I <br /> I <br /> 1 r <br /> 06 December 2002 I <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0333 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> • Benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene-and xylene(BTEX)and methyl-tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) <br /> Mi <br /> by EPA Method 8020, <br /> • Tetrachloroethene(PCE), tnchloroethene(TCE),tertiarybutanol(TBA), di-isopropyl ether <br /> ' (DIPE),ethyl tert butyl ether(ETBE), tert amyl methyl ether(TAME) and MTBE by EPA <br /> Method 8260 Modified, and <br /> ' Total lead (quarterly sampling frequency) by EPA Method 6010/200 7 <br /> ' 24 INFLUENT MONITORING RESULTS <br /> In accordance with the requirements of CMPWD Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit No 02-1, <br /> monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent sampling was performed for laboratory analysis of <br /> TPH-g, TPH-d, BTEX, MTBE,DIPE, TAME, ETBE, TBA, PCE, TCE and total lead on 06 June, <br /> ' 05 August and 26 September 2002 <br /> Influent water samples detected TPH-g at concentrations as high as 17,000 micrograms per liter <br /> (µg/l), TPH-d as high as 920 gg/l and BTEX constituents as high as 1,900 gg/l(toluene and xylene) <br /> in Ithe September sample MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260 at concentrations as high as <br /> 13,000µg/1 In the June sample TAME was detected on all three occurrences at concentration as high <br /> as 200 gg/l PCE was detected in August and September at concentrations as high as 33 gg/l and <br /> TCE was detected in September at 5 µg/1 During September 2002, ETBE and TBA were detected <br /> for the first time at concentrations of 14 µg/1 and 180 Ag/l, respectively <br /> ' 'The laboratory analysis did not detect any,other constituents of concern Analytical results of pump- <br /> and-treat influent-water sarnples(Castle Analytical Laboratory Reference Nos 4951 and 5103) are <br /> summanzed in Table 2, laboratory reports are in Appendix B <br /> ' '2 5 EFFLUENT MONITORING RESULTS <br /> 4 rL r <br /> In accordance with the requirements of CMPWD Industnal,Wastewater Discharge Permit No 02-1, ' <br /> ' monthly ground water pump-and-treat effluent monitoring was performed 'for flow rate, TPH-g, <br /> TP,H-d, BTEX, MTBE,DIPE, TAME, ETBE, TBA,PCE,TCE and total lead F <br /> Laboratory analysis of pump-and-treat effluent grab water samples collected on 06 June,05 August, <br /> andr 26 September 2002 did not detect any constituents of concern except TBA during the August <br /> 'r and,September 2002'events at concentrations as high as 340 pg/l, no,other target analytes were <br /> detected Analytical results are summarized in Table 2, laboratory reports are in Appendix B <br /> II <br /> jI hl fir' I Advanced GcoEnvlronmental,Inc <br /> II , <br /> n <br /> I , <br /> ,I R <br />
