RECEIVED
JUN 302016
Work Plan Addendum - April 2016
SAVE-ON GAS (Former Rainwater Car Wash) ENVIRONMENTAL
420 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, California HEALTH DEPARTMENT
1.0. INTRODUCTION
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared the enclosed work plan
addendum for 420 West Yosemite Avenue, California (site). The enclosed work plan
addendum is being prepared in accordance with a Regional Water Quality Control
Board (RWQCB) Central Valley Region letter dated 16 February 2016 stating that a
work plan should be prepared to delineate the extent of petroleum impacts using a grab
groundwater sampling technology.
This work plan addendum provides a description of the scope of work and procedures
to be used for Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) soil boring advancement, grab
groundwater sample collection, and laboratory analysis. The plan was prepared in
accordance with RWQCB guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank
(UST) sites. CPT soil borings P7 through P10 were previously advanced on- and off-site
to log lithology and for collection of grab groundwater samples.
Additional site background information is included in Appendix A. Boring logs for CPT
borings previously advanced on-site and off-site are included with Appendix B. The
location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1; a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2;
general lithology beneath the site is depicted in Figure 3; the estimated extent of
dissolved MTBE is depicted in Figure 4.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Based on analytical data from previous site assessment, the RWQCB is requiring (letter
dated 16 February 2016) that additional groundwater investigation be performed to fully
delineate the lateral and vertical extent of the petroleum hydrocarbon contamination.
The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• CPT soil boring advancement and sample collection; and
• Report preparation.
Each of these tasks is described in greater detail below.
2.1. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable drilling permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
