' Geo(ogicafTechnics 9= Page 3 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 640 2 <br /> August 18, 2000 <br /> ' 1.3 Laboratory Analyses <br /> ' The groundwater samples collected on May 1, 2000 were delivered to Sherwood Labs <br /> (Department of Health Services Certification No 1400), of Hilmar, California, for analysis <br />' The three-groundwater samples were analyzed for <br /> • BTEX by EPA method 602 <br /> • TPH -G by EPA method 5030/9015(M) <br />' • The oxygenated fuel compounds (MTBE, ETBE, DIPE, TAME & TBA) by EPA method <br /> 8260 <br /> • 1,2 DCA and EDB by EPA method 8260 <br />' The detection limits forhe <br /> t above analyses are listed in Table 2 of Appendix A, while the lab <br />' analytical results are presented in Appendix B <br />' 20 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION <br /> The results of the groundwater sample analysis show the following <br /> * MW-1 showed the presence of TPH-G <br /> • Both MW-1 & 3 showed the presence of BTEX <br /> • This event showed increase concentrations of BTEX & TPH-G in MW-1 from the <br /> November 1999 event but was lower then observed during the July 1999 event <br /> MW-3 was non-detect for the compounds tested for <br /> • None of the oxygenated fuel compounds were detected in any of the wells <br /> 1 <br /> During field monitoring & well purging work, water- quality parameters were measured, <br /> including Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) This data is included in the field logs in <br />' Appendix C The ORP results are all positive Tlus data supports the analytical data and <br /> shows that the groundwater in the vicinity of the wells is not significantly impacted by these <br />' hydrocarbons <br /> 30 CONCLUSIONS <br /> The groundwater in the area of the former gasoline UST does not appear to be significantly <br />' impacted The site does not show the presence of oxygenated fuel compounds A receptor <br /> survey is currently being completed for the site Once this is complete, the UST portion of the <br /> site should receive closure <br /> i <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br />
