r <br /> Geo(oguaC7ecFinus Inc Page 3 � <br /> Groundwater Monrtormg Report <br /> r Protect No 640 2 <br /> January 31,2000 <br /> rA chain of custody document, listing all samples collected and their intended analyses, <br /> accompanied the samples from the field to the laboratory, thereby providing a means to track <br /> rtheir movement and insure their integrity <br /> 1.3 Laboratory Analyses <br /> rThe groundwater samples collected on November 24, 1999 were delivered to BSK Analytical <br /> Laboratories (Department of Health Services Certification No 1180), of Fresno, California, <br /> rfor analysis <br /> The three groundwater samples were analyzed for <br /> r • BTEX by EPA method 8020 <br /> • TPH -G by EPA method 5030/8015(M) <br /> r • The oxygenated fuel compounds (MTBE, ETBE, DIPS, TAME & TBA) <br /> • 1,2 DCA and EDB <br /> r The detection limits for the above analyses are Iisted in Table 2 of Appendix A, while the lab <br /> analytical results are presented in Appendix B <br />' 2.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION <br />' The results of the groundwater sample analysis show the following <br /> 0 Only one well (MW-1) showed the presence of any contamination, Ethyl Benzene at 1 5 <br /> ug/L This was a significant decrease from the previous event <br />' • All other wells were non-detect for the compounds tested for <br /> • None of the oxygenated fuel compounds were detected <br />' During field monitoring & well purging work, water quality parameters were measured, <br /> including Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) These data are included in the field logs in <br />' Appendix C The ORP results are all positive This data supports the analytical data and <br /> shows that the groundwater in the vicinity of the wells is not significantly impacted by these <br /> hydrocarbons <br />' 3.0 CONCLUSIONS <br />' The groundwater in the area of the former gasoline UST does not appear to be significantly <br /> impacted GTI recommends that one more quarterly monitoring event be performed in <br /> February 2000 If the groundwater data is comparable to this monitoring event the UST site <br />' should receive closure <br /> I <br /> I <br />
