1 <br /> Geofogica(Technics enc. <br /> 2741 RimrRoad <br /> Modww,California 95351 <br /> (209)538-6424/JaX#538-5852 <br /> ' Report <br />' Soil and Groundwater Investigation <br /> UST Site <br /> Ted Peters Trucking Co., Inc. <br /> 1985 Yosemite Ave. <br /> Manteca, CA 95336 <br />' Project No 640 2 <br /> November 3, 1999 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />' The site is located on the northern side of Yosemite Road, within the city limits of Manteca, <br /> CA The property is owned by Ted Peters Trucking and operated as a commercial trucking <br /> facility Currently there are no underground storage tanks on the property <br /> On July 30, 1997, one steel 1,000-gallon Ieaded gasoline UST was removed from the site <br /> During tank removal, a petroleum odor was noted in the northern end of the tank pit Soil <br /> samples collected at this time showed the presence of high levels of BTEX, moderate levels <br />' of TPH-G and high levels of MTBE A limited over excavation was performed, to a depth of <br /> 8 feet and the pit was then lined with 6-mil poly plastic The excavated material was then <br /> backfilled into the pit <br />' On July 19, 1999, Geological Technics Inc supervised the installation of three monitoring <br /> wells and two hydropunch borings around the former tank pit <br />' 2.0 SCOPE OF INVESTIGATION <br />' The purpose of this work was to investigate the lateral extent of soil and groundwater <br /> contamination On July 19, 1999, Geological Technics Inc (GTI) supervised V&W Drilling <br /> in the installation of three monitoring wells to a depth of 20 feet bgs and two soil borings to a <br /> depth of 25 feet bgs <br />' 2.1 Soil Boring Installation <br /> A monitoring well permit was secured from San Joaquin County and the agency was notified <br /> 48 hours prior to commencing work The subsurface was cleared of underground utilities by <br /> notifying Underground Service Alert and by consulting with the property owner <br /> In an effort to define the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons, five (5) soil <br /> borings were advanced Three of the soil borings were converted into monitoring wells The <br /> t soil borings were drilled as follows <br />
