Cevtagicat 7"echttics !`tc. <br /> ' 1101 71h Street <br /> Modesto,California 95354 <br /> (209)522-4119/Fax(209)522-4227 <br /> t <br /> Report <br /> ' Groundwater Monitoring <br /> 2nd Quarter 2003 <br /> ' Aboveground Storage Tank Site <br /> Ted Peters Trucking Co., Inc <br /> ' 1985 Yosemite Ave. <br /> Manteca, CA 95336 <br /> ' Project No 701 2 <br /> May 15, 2003 <br /> t 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> The site is located on the northern side of Yosemite Avenue, within the city limits of <br /> Manteca, CA (see Figures 1 & 2) The property is owned by Ted Peters Trucking and <br /> operated as a commercial trucking facility Currently there are no underground storage <br /> tanks on the property <br /> ' On February 22, 1999, Ms Gail Wiggett of the Regional Water Quality Control Board --- <br /> Central Valley Region (CRWQCB-CVR) and Mr Jeff Wong of the San Joaquin County <br /> ' Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) met with Ramona <br /> Booze of Ted Peters Trucking to inspect the facility at 1985 Yosemite Avenue, Manteca <br /> Upon completion of their review, they requested that a work plan be prepared The plan <br /> ' was to describe the work to be performed to investigate the soil and groundwater of the <br /> property to determine if contamination may have been released from the operation of the <br /> aboveground diesel storage tanks, fuel islands and the truck washing area <br /> ' Geological Technics Inc prepared the work plan on April 12, 1999 It called for the <br /> installation of four monitoring wells around the areas of potential release On July 26, <br /> 1999, Geological Technics Inc supervised the installation of three monitoring wells and one <br /> ' hydropunch boring around the former ASTs, dispensers and sump Soil and groundwater <br /> samples collected from the wells and boring showed the presence of TPH-D, TPH-K, TPH- <br /> MO, BTEX and other volatile compounds On November 4, 1999, GTI and Del-Tech <br /> submitted a report of the well installation and initial monitoring results <br /> ' On January 19, 2000, Ms Gail Wiggett of CRWQCB-CVR issued a letter requesting <br /> groundwater plume definition and the installation of a down gradient well To achieve these <br /> ' objectives, GTI staff mobilized to the site on August 17 and 18, 2000, to supervise the <br /> Installation of GeoProbe borings A total of 21 GeoProbe borings were attempted with <br /> probe refusal encountered at depths of 1 5 — 5 5 feet below grade surface at seven of the <br /> locations One soil sample and one hydropunch type groundwater sample were collected <br />
