1 GeoloAwa!?ec&iws Inc Page 4 <br /> GW-Monitoring Report <br /> Ted Peters-AST <br /> Project No 7012 <br /> March 14,2001 <br /> • A groundwater sample collected from MW-6 on February 17, 2000, was non-detect for <br /> all targeted compounds Previous to that event it tested positive for TPH-D, TPH-MO & <br /> TPH-K The presence of TPH-G in the well for this event indicates that individual <br /> ' chemicals of concern detected may be random surface infiltration, leakage from the <br /> adjacent sump, or portions of plumes originating from either the gasoline UST or/and <br /> the diesel ASTs <br /> 1 • The domestic well did not contain contaminant concentrations above the laboratory <br /> reporting limits <br /> ' 4.0 CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> ' Conclusions <br /> 1 Groundwater flow is to the southwest in the northern portion of the site and to the <br /> northwest in the southern portion of the site <br /> 2 TPH & volatile organic compounds are present in the groundwater in all three of <br /> ' monitoring wells <br /> 3 The domestic well does not appear to be impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons at this <br /> time <br /> ' 4 The groundwater plume is not defined vertically or laterally <br /> Recommendations <br /> I Continue semi-annual groundwater monitoring events The next event is scheduled for <br /> August 2001 <br /> 2 As stated in Section 1 above, GTI submitted our September 14, 2000 "Work Plan <br /> Addendum, Additional Soil and Groundwater Investigation" in order to further define the <br /> ' extent of the contamination The work plan included provisions for additional <br /> monitoring wells and was conditionally approved by CRWQCB-CVR on December 26, <br /> 2000 The additional monitoring well installations are scheduled for March 2001, <br /> pending the issuance of the applicable drilling permits by the SJC-PHS/EHD <br />' 1 <br /> 5.0 LIMITATIONS <br /> ' This report was prepared in accordance with the accepted standards and practices of the <br /> field of environmental geology, groundwater hydrology and good business practices It <br /> ' should be recognized that definition and evaluation of environmental conditions is a <br /> difficult and inexact science Judgments leading to conclusions and recommendations are <br /> generally made with an incomplete knowledge of the site-specific conditions present <br /> ' The tasks proposed and completed during this project were reviewed and approved by the <br /> local regulatory agency for compliance with the law No warranty, expressed or implied, is <br /> made <br /> 1 <br />
