Soil samples
selected for testing will be analyzed for TPH as gasoline and
diesel using modified Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Method 8015 with extraction by EPA Method 3550 and for benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers (BTEX) using EPA
Method 8020. in addition, the four soil samples collected from
the stockpiled soil showing the highest Ovsl readings will be
analyzed for organic lead using the method recommended by the
DHS. Detection limits suitable for the tests requested and
concentrations present will be stated on the laboratory reports.
The tests for TPH and BTEX will be performed at the site by
Mobile Chem Labs, Inc. , of San Carlos, California (Hazardous
- Waste Testing Laboratory Certificate No. 195) . The tests for
organic lead will be performed at CHEMWEST Analytical Laboratory,
of Sacramento, California (Hazardous Waste Testing Laboratory
Certification No. 185) .
Additional Tasks
Upon interpreting the field and laboratory data at the extent of
----------- --
- ------------------------ ------------
the excavation, Applied GeoSystems may recommend dzscon inuing
14
Applied OOOSY OMS
