Tracy Blvd , Tracy
APN 253A 20 -53 , SR0082226
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department ( EHD ) has received and reviewed the Soil
Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study , dated April 30 , 2020 , submitted on June 22 , 2020 for the above noted
location , and has the following comments for your consideration .
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential impact of nitrates to groundwater for the proposed project
development . The nitrate loading study was prepared to determine the long -term nitrate loading impact from
the proposed OWTS . The proposed development project includes :
1 . A new shop building with an office with a total of wastewater of 75 gallons per day generated by 5
occupants/employees .
2 . The wastewater volume of 75 gallons per day is not to be used for septic design or size calculation .
Based on the information provided , the EHD can make the following findings :
The SSNL Study supports the suitability for standard OWTS usage for the proposed development project on
the above mentioned parcel , pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9 , Section 9A 105 . 2 ( d ) ,
provided proposed OWTS and 100 % replacement area can meet all required minimum setbacks from any
water wells .
The percolation tests conducted at the site indicate the soil percolate wastewater at rate of 7 . 57 minutes per
inch and 27 . 7 minutes per inch . This rate require an 8 foot separation between bottom of dispersal leach field
and highest level of ground water .
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed , Registered Environmental Health Specialist ,
REHS , at nahmed@sjgov . org or (209 ) 468-3436 .
Michael Kith , REHS
Program Coordinator
CC : Kleinfelder
1868 E .
