5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION 5.1 Site map showing the location,with dimensions, of the soil profiled pit on the parcel. See Appendix. 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions. The shallow test holes were prepared per County Standards. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 10 inches in diameter. The Soil in this area is classified as San Joaquin Sandy loam and as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The San Joaquin Sandy loam has a permeability that is very slow. 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION 6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each parcel: One shallow percolation test hole was prepared on Parcel 1. Another hole was later prepared for Parcel 2 per the attached Tentative Map. 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 10 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of "pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards. The shallow hole was prepared by Mike Toy of Dillon & Murphy on June 12, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. On June 15, 2020 at 7:30 a.m., the 24 hour presoak period was started. The hole was filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. A second test hole was prepared by Mike Toy of Dillon& Murphy on September 25, 2020. The test hole was prepared in accordance with County Standards. On September 28, 2020 at 7:30 a.m.,the 24 hour presoak period was started. The hole was filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period (hole still intact,hole dry,preparation of hole,and depth of water used to presoak(minimum 12 inches): On June 16, 2020 at 7:30 a.m., the 1 shallow test hole was dry. Six inches of water was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed the minimum County requirements. On September 29, 2020 at 7:30 a.m., the shallow test hole was dry. Six inches of water was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow hole passed the minimum County Standards. 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water refill,correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. 3
