Geocon will retain Cascade Drilling (C57# 938110) and McMillan's Well Service, LLC. for the well
destruction activities. Prior to destruction activities, the pump assembly will be removed and disposed of
properly. The field staff will note the material of the casing, measure the diameter of the well, depth to
groundwater, and total depth of the well. Measurements will be used to confirm specifications for wells
that have well construction records. Measurements from wells with unknown specifications will be used
to create well specifications. At each well, Cascade will perforate the well casing using depth-discrete
explosive charges packed with projectiles. Explosive charges connected to detonating cord will be placed
from the bottom of each well casing to the surface at 10-foot intervals. After the explosive charges are
placed, a neat cement grout will be pumped into each well to the surface with tremie pipe. When the
grout level stabilizes in each well. the charges will be detonated perforating the well casing and permitting
neat cement to enter into the formation. Following blast perforation, additional grout will be added to
each well as necessary. The following table summarizes the approximate amount of explosives and grout
required for each well.
Estimated Approximate Initial Grout
Well ID Diameter Total Depth Estimated Amount of pp Volume
(1n) (ft bgs) Charges Required (gallons)
495 8 175 17 456
_ _ .. .__ . ..._.._. ._..- _ ... ....... .... . _..._. _.........................__._..._................ _
11717 6 170 17 249
... .. ......... 11 .--...._..._........._......_.._._.._.........................._......................_..................................._..... ...._..........................._..._...__...._............. — _.._...__....._...---...._ --...._._...._.................._.................._....._..........................
17737 6 55 5 80
.............. ...... .. _. ..._...... _ .. _..............................................................-................................._....._......................._........................_
17821 6 115 11 168
......... ......... .__...... ._................ .._.._......... ........ . . ...._............ -......................._._.............._.............................
_..
17904 5.5 69.6 6 85
__...._..__.._...---._._.........---._...---.---.._._......____._
17926 4.75 69 6 63
_... ............. ........ - ..__ _.._
17933 5.5 83 8 '102
_..... _............... ....................... ...... ........ .. ............... ... ............................ ....._.............................-.........................................................
17950 6 59 5 86
..................................I....................................... _.............................._..........................................._.........---...............-.......... ........................_.._.._._................................................_.............._...........................
17793 Unknown Unknown
_... --_._-..................... _.._.._..._.__....__._............_........................._..._.__-..
17850 Unknown Unknown
..... _.._.._._.... _._.. .. ...........
17883 Unk.n_._.._._...own U nkn.own 1 charge per 10 feet of well 5.8 gallons of grout per
_..._ . .._... _.. _ ...
.
17899 Unknown Unknown depth cubic foot of well volume
17911 Unknown Unknown
2145 Unknown Unknown
Geocon Project No.S1358-03-05 -2- June 13,2019
