Two rinse tank: Two square rinse tanks located on the
north side of the new zinc tank.
The new tanks were identified by Willie for the MUD inspectors.
Boiler and Evaporator:
AMP has a evaporator next to the east wall of the building. The
evaporator has a tank containing chromium and nickel waste.
AMP is using four plastic 55-gallon drums with two poles laid on
top of the drums for racking parts. MUD inspectors Alex Baillie
j and Toni Duncan observed black liquid on the bottom of one of the
1 drums which was visible through an open bung hole. The material
label on the drum was for acetic acid. The concrete floor is
stained black in this area.
The boiler is located in the north east corner of the building.
Willie informed me that AMP had not had the boiler blown down
lately. The boiler blow down is directed to cleaner rinse tanks,
AMP numbers 2 and 4.
AALEJ ILLIE
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL OFFICER
attachments: Tank Directory
Photographs A-E Series
Photograph Log
7
