This report does not include a compatibility
assessment of wastes with tank materials , nor does an assessment
of the secondary containment .
The structural assessments are to examine the strengths of the
tank walls, bottoms and stiffeners, and the adequacy of tank
supports and anchorage , for a total of six existing tanks .
According to the 03/26/92 conversation with you, these tanks were
installed in 1989 . The assessments are based on the requirements
of Section 2338 of 1991 UBC for seismic loading.
According to the memo, dated 04/10/92 , the chemicals to be mixed
with water for the treatment have the specific gravities of 1 . 52
and 1 . 84 . In the 04/13/92 phone discussion with you, we have
agreed that an estimated average specific gravity of 1 . 3 may be
used for structural analysis for the liquid stored in all tanks .
A list of the tank volume, material and the findings of the
structural analyses are summarized as follows : E
NO.
