Make sure the caustic transfer pump
in equal. tank switch on the electrical panel is in
energizes one of the "MAN. " position. If the caustic
the self centrifugal transfer pump operates OK, check the
priming pump, but the electrical circuit for discontinuity
caustic transfer pump from the Kari float switch to the 2-
fails to operate. way air solenoid solenoid valves. If
the caustic transfer pump fails to
operate, check the elect. circuit for
discontinuity from the elect. panel to
the 2-way air solenoid valve.
2 . If the electrical power is OK, check
the 2-way air solenoid valve. Replace
the valve if necessary.
3 . If the 2-way air solenoid valve is OK,
make sure the air shut-off valve wide
open. Check filter/regulator/
lubricator for air leaks and mal-
functions.
4 . If the F/R/L is OK,replace the caustic
transfer pump for repair.
Caustic transfer pump 1. Make sure all PVC true union ball
operates, but no or low valves are in the right position for
caustic circulates. the caustic to circulate freely.
2 . If the caustic transfer circuit is
free to circulate but there is no or
low caustic circulating,replace the
caustic transfer pump for repair.
pH ranges from 0 to 4 1. Turn the caustic feeding valve #1
in pH 01 adjust. tank, switch on the electrical panel to the
the caustic transfer pump "MAN" position to energize the 3-way
operates and circulates air solenoid valve.
but no caustic feeding. 2 . If there is no caustic feeding, check
the 3-way air solenoid valve. If the 3-
way air solenoid valve is OK, check the
caustic feeding valve and ball valve.
Replace the valves if necessary.
3 . If the caustic is feeding, check the
electrical power from the pH monitor
#1 on the electrical panel to the a-
way air solenoid valve#1. Rewire if
necessary.
