at the bottom of the deepest sump. The depth of the sump was 7.5 feet below the top of the
retaining wall (4.5 feet bgs) and the sample was collected an additional 1.9 feet below this depth.
The soil did not exhibit any evidence of contamination as no staining or odor was observed in the
field. Samples were collected in clean brass tubes, immediately capped on both ends with teflon
tape and plastic caps, and put on ice in a cooler. The samples were submitted to Sequoia
Analytical (FLAP# 1210) of Redwood City, California for analyses for pH, aluminum, lead, and
sulfate. Due to the elevated pH level of sample TP-4, OIT requested that the samples also be
analyzed for calcium, and sodium. The calcium concentrations in the sample from TP4 was one
order of magnitude higher that the other samples. Copies of field notes and laboratory data sheets
for the soil samples are included in Attachment 2.
Closure has been completed in accordance with the Closure Plan and the Closure Plan meets or
exceeds the applicable requirements of Chapter 45 of Title 22 and the owner has remained in
compliance with all applicable requirements of Section 67450.3 of Title 22.
I certify under penalty of law that this document and all attachments were prepared under my direction or
supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified personnel properly gathered and
evaluated that information submitted.
