Emergency Action Plan <br /> procedures will be followed. The Spill Response Contractor will be <br /> summoned using the emergency phone list. If possible, plant <br /> responders are to remain close to the spill area during initial <br /> evacuation to prevent other employees from entering the area. If <br /> an immediate evacuation is not required, in-house spill response <br /> procedures will be followed. <br /> All Emergency Preparedness Team members will report to the spill <br /> responder staging area. Wardens will be appointed to keep other <br /> employees out of the area. Identification of the spilled substance <br /> will be determined, and evacuation necessity re-evaluated. If the <br /> spill presents significant hazards due to vapors, proximity to <br /> incompatible substances, or sources of ignition, a general <br /> evacuation will commence. The Hazard Communication Standard <br /> provides more detail on compatibilities and propensity of chemicals <br /> to emit gases . <br /> If the Spill Is Incidental, Spill Containment Will Commence Using <br /> Spill Containment Materials Provided. <br /> Responders will wear the appropriate PPE. <br />
