This tank is changed out about
twice per year and is basically
distilled water.
Stage 6 is the actual paint tank that
the parts are dipped into and never
drains at all; we clean and refill with
the existing paint being put back into
the tank.
Stage 7 pre rinse I and post rinse 2
is a city-water filled tank that is a
dip process; this tank is cleaned and
refilled twice per year both rinses
drain back to the tank
Stage 8 is a paint cure tank/reaction
tank that the parts are dipped into
and is heated to a 140 degrees; this
is the final A coat stage before the
parts are baked in the cure ovens.
The waste pit is only for the pH
neutralization of the waste stream
from stages 2/4/5/7 and is set
between 6.50 and 9.50; it
automatically detects pH levels on a
constant basis and controls chemical
pumps to bring the level into said
specs. We clean the pit about every 6
weeks ofany sludge accumulation
which goes into 55 gal drums for
disposal. There are no filters on this
waste stream because there are very
11/3/2009
