SAN ,dDAQ U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> C0uNTY <br /> Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> Tesla Lathrop 1 18260 S Harlan Rd, Lathrop October 22, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -One 55 gallon container with waste solids observed with non-secure lid,found in heat treating area. <br /> -Two 5 gallon bucket with used oil observed with no lid,found in heat treating area. <br /> -One 1 gallon bucket with used oil observed with no lid,found in heat treating area. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> -Two 5 gallon bucket with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label,found in heat treating area. Operator <br /> corrected on site. <br /> -One 1 gallon bucket with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label,found in heat treating area. Corrected <br /> on site by operator. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> Corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by November 21 2019 . <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
