SAN 10 A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br />C0UNIY <br />RCRA Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Facility Name: <br />Facility Address: <br />Date: <br />UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC PHYSICAL <br />1050 W BROOKSIDE RD, STOCKTON <br />August 08, 2019 <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />Item # <br />Remarks <br />102 <br />CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br />The following was observed during site walk through: <br />Grounds/Fleet/Herbicide Pesticide Room <br />— Non -empty aerosol can of Spot Shot Carpet Stain Remover found in the trash <br />— Aerosol can of Brake Cleaner found in the trash <br />Physical Plant Yard <br />— Storage container for solvents and cleaners had some loose saturated cardboard debris caused by a leaking <br />solvents. <br />Public Safety <br />— Old darkioily rags used for gun cleaning with solvents (Hoppe's No. 9 Gun Bore Cleaner, Nitro Solvent Gun Cleaner <br />and Break Free CLP: Cleaner, Lubricant, Preservative). It was stated by Lieutenant Wayne German that the old rags <br />are tossed into the trash once they can no longer be reused. <br />— A 5 -gallon container with unknown contents next to elevator hydraulic equipment. <br />Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste as specified in Title 22 <br />California Code of Regulations (CCR). There are wastes that are listed as hazardous wastes. There are wastes that <br />exhibit one or more of the hazardous waste characteristics: toxic, corrosive, reactive or ignitable. <br />Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for each waste , and manage it according to Title 22 CCR. Use <br />Safety Data Sheets (SDS), waste sampling and test results or other knowledge to support your hazardous waste <br />determination. Waste testing must be done using methods specified in Title 22 CCR including sections 66261.20-24. <br />Submit a statement and supporting documentation with your hazardous waste determination. Demonstrate current <br />storage and labeling for wastes determined to be hazardous wastes.
