<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Environmental <br />Work Instruction – Tracy Warehouse <br />Version 0 - 3/1/19 <br /> <br />Used Engine Oil and Used Oil Filters <br />Used Oil from Forklift Maintenance: <br />Forklift equipment maintenance contractor shall: <br />· Drain the used oil from the forklift <br />· Pour used oil into a drum labeled “Used Oil” using a drum funnel (Pic 1) <br />· Ensure drum funnel is closed after adding oil <br />· To prevent drips, wipe clean the container used to transfer the used oil from the forklift <br />to the Used Oil drum using a cloth rag. <br />· Place the oily rag into the oily debris container (Pic 2) which is next to the “Used Oil” <br />drum in the Satellite Accumulation Area (SAA) <br />· Place any other oily debris (rags, gloves, absorbent materials, etc.) into the oily debris <br />container in the SAA <br />· When containers are full, or within 365 days from accumulation start date, move wastes <br />stored in SAA, into Waste Storage Area for disposal. <br /> <br />Used Oil Filters: <br />The contractor shall: <br />· Puncture used oil filter on side and top of filter <br />· Place in Used Oil funnel filter on Used Oil drum (Pic 3) <br />· Write the date and time on at least one of the filters so the plants will know that they <br />have drained for at least 24 hours before transferring filters to the proper pail labeled <br />Drained Used Oil Filters, which is in the Waste Storage Area (Pic 4) <br />· Gravity drain the filters by placing them with its gasket side down in the drain pan (if the <br />filter has an anti-drain valve, the dome end of the filter should be punctured); Ensure <br />funnel is closed <br />· Place drained filters in drum labeled “Drained Oil Filters”. Keep container closed unless <br />adding filters. <br />· Drained used oil filters shall be recycled within one year <br /> <br />Used Oil Pickup: <br />· Prior to pick up, weight of used oil and profile number shall be written on container and <br />also noted on monthly waste tracking sheet. <br />· Used oil will be manifested and managed in accordance with generator status. <br /> <br />This procedure may be modified upon CA regulatory changes or other compliant processes implemented at the warehouse. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2 1 <br />3 <br />4 <br />Environmental <br />Work Instruction – Tracy Warehouse <br />Version 0 - 3/1/19
