1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of Rinehart Distributing, Inc , Ramage Environmental has prepared this Groundwater <br /> Monitoring Report, Third Quarter 2002 for submittal to San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> ' Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD) and to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> ' The proposed scope of work was outlined in Ramage Environmental's Work Plan, Well <br /> Installations and CPT Bonngs, dated May 5, 2000 On June 15, 2000, PHSIEHD approved the <br /> ' work plan with comments <br /> 1 1 Site Location and Description <br /> The southern portion of the subject site is a gasoline seance station located at 1001 E Yosemite <br /> ' Avenue in the city of Manteca (San Joaquin County), California (Figure 1) The northern portion <br /> of the site is undeveloped raw land The service station is currently operational as a Beacon <br /> station with anew underground storage tank (UST) and dispensing system The farmer RINO <br /> ' service station included three 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs in a common tank excavation on the <br /> east side of the site and two dispenser islands in the south-central part of the site (Figure 2) The <br /> new USTs were installed in the old UST excavation and the new dispensers were constructed in <br /> approximately the same location as the old dispensers <br /> ' A water supply well exists in the south-central part of the site Domestic water supply wells also <br /> exist at each residence on Raylow Avenue, east of the site The locations of the on-site water <br /> supply well and four nearest residential wells are shown on Figure 3 <br /> 12 Previous Work Summary <br /> During January 1999, Herbst Engineering, Inc removed the three former USTs, two dispenser <br /> ' islands, and the old canopy structure and supports On January 28, 1999, under PHSIEHD <br /> observation, Ramage Environmental collected six soil samples from beneath the former USTs <br /> and six soil samples from beneath the former dispensers and canopy support structures On <br /> ' February 23, 1999, Ramage Environmental transmitted to PHSIEHD the soil and soil stockpile <br /> sample results <br /> 1 <br /> ' 3 <br /> i <br /> i <br />
