(CERS ID: 10184403) pertinent to
inspection by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept. Specialist Lydia Baker
on March 18, 2019.

Corrections of Violations

Item # 102 – CCR 66262.11 – Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste
The material in the flammable storage room referenced in the Inspection Report,
Summary of Violations has been sorted, classified, labelled and consolidated in
preparation for disposal.

Item # 204 – HSC 25201(a) – Failed to obtain a permit to treat hazardous waste
The material in the plastic tote referenced in the Summary of Violations is dried
waterborne acrylic emulsion polymer raw material with some drie d waterborne acrylic
emulsion floor polish finished product. During the inspection, glycol ethers were
mentioned as possible evaporation products from the tote. Glycol Ether EB was
mentioned as an example of a glycol ether, but it is unlikely to have been present at all
in the tote. More likely, Glycol Ethers DE and DPM were present since they are
common coalescing solvents for these types of substances. DE and DPM are non -
hazardous, whereas EB is hazardous. Although the material may not be considered
hazardous material, we will, nonetheless, cease this procedure and dispose of the
material as non-hazardous waste by drumming it up and submitting it to a waste hauler.
