INFORMATION, SHEET <br />PACIFIC ENERGY <br />AND THE CITY OF STOCKTON <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />Pacific Energy, formerly Pacific Lighting Energy Systems, under contract with the <br />City of Stockton, operates a methane cYas recovery facility at the Austin Road <br />Landfill. methane gas is collected from the landfill and burned to generate <br />electricity (800 01). During the collection process, moisture condenses in the <br />pipes and at the plant. Line condensate is distributed Mack into the landfill via <br />condensation traps, where the condensate c. -an infiltrate the refuse. Plant <br />condensate is pumped back to the landfill and discharged to condensation traps. <br />The Austin Road Landfill is a Class II -2 waste site in Section 3, T1S, R7E, <br />MDB&M. This site is approximately six miles southeast of Stockton, on Austin <br />Road. The site consists of 180 acres, of which 114 are filled.
