CAC SECTION OBSERVATIONS RESULT <br /> DISPOSAL SITE SPECIAL WASTES. <br /> 17741 Burning wastes. I did not observe burning wastesC <br /> received at this site. According. to <br /> John Giambastiani, Site Supervisor, if <br /> a load of burning waste were received <br /> it would be placed next to the working <br /> face where cover soil is readily <br /> available. <br /> 17742 Hazardous I did not observe hazardous waste C <br /> Wastes . accepted at this site. Every load <br /> that comes in is checked by the <br /> gatekeeper; if it were detected at - the <br /> active face it would be isolated, <br /> tested, taken away, and all <br /> appropriate authorities notified. <br /> Approximately 50-60 yd3 of infectious <br /> waste is received per month. It is <br /> set to the side of the active face and <br /> covered immediately, with care being <br /> taken not to run directly over it with <br /> equipment. The methods of handling <br /> hazardous wastes were relayed to me by <br /> John Giambastini, Site Supervisor. <br /> 17743 Liquid Wastes. Liquid waste is received at the site V <br /> in the form of grease from restaurant <br /> grease traps. I observed a 350 x 12 <br /> foot pond of waste located at the toe <br /> of a slope that was to the south of <br /> the winter pad. I measured its area <br /> with a rangefinder. It was <br /> approximately one foot deep. Waste <br /> Discharge Requirements specify liquid <br /> waste is to be mixed with dry refuse <br /> for proper disposal . <br /> 17744 Dead Animals. I did not observe dead animals atthisC <br /> site. <br /> DISPOSAL SITE REPORTS AND REVIEWS. <br /> 17751 Periodic Site This site received a new permit on C <br /> Review. 2/01/83.
