The
quantity of 15,000 cubic yards can be stockpiled at this
location and would not require additional relocating other
than simply pushing the material westward down the existing
slopes and upward to the east and north for the second
foot of foundation layer on the final lift.
The tentative operating plan is to build the final lift to
the appropriate elevation and close the lift as the
operation moves northward. The initial 15,000 cy will be
placed at the southwest corner of the working part of the
landfill in order to incorporate the material into the cap
prior to the beginning of the rainy season next year. The
additional 5000 cy of material which will be coming to the
site on a annual basis will be placed on top of the lift in
an area to grade and ready to be closed.
The clay cover and foot of topsoil will be placed over the
foundation layer as soon as possible afterward.
A preliminary closure plan will be in your office somewhere
around the 15th of July and the final closure design will
be submitted by the end of the month, per your discussion
with Dan.
Please call me if you have any comments or questions.
Sincerely,
`t s
Thomas Woodward
cc Dan Maglionico, EBA
Mark Clarkson, MUD
825 Sononu Ave. SuitcC 11ost O(iicc 1Sox 4600 S.rnt.r Ross (.110,rm.r 1)540.' 1707) 544.0,-84 I A\ ('i)71 `144 stint'
Al") Auburn.
