Family Dollar #11298, 505 W Harding Way, Stockton, CA Record ID PR0539983
4/2/2019
PHOTO # 8
Elianna Florido, REHS Page 8 of 56
- A Corrosive Base (CB) HW tote with accumulation start date 1/24, which contained the following (IMG 5185):
- A partially empty bottle of Pine-Sol Multi-Surface Cleaner & Deodorizer (IMG 5186). When asked what happened to the missing amount of Pine -Sol that
was in the bottle, Eric Farley, store manager, stated the Pine-Sol may have spilled and was cleaned up. When asked how chemical spills are cleaned up,
Eric stated usually for spilled chemical cleaning liquids, water is applied to the spill which is then mopped up. Eric also s tated that paper towels or
absorbent may have been used to clean up the Pine-Sol spill, in which case the used paper towels or absorbent may have been placed in the trash, since
they were not in the HW tote. According to the Family Dollar HW Training Guide Binder no h azardous waste should be placed in the trash or down the
drain (IMG 5236), Spill Magic (absorbent) should be applied to the spill, and then placed in a bag and in the appropriate Str ongPak (hazardous waste)
tote, along with spilled item (IMG 5238).
- A bottle of Nyco All Purpose Degreaser (IMG 5187-8)
