Detectable
concentrations were recorded at Probes E, J, K, and 0, all
of which are in the vicinity of the former fuel dispenser
islands. Hydrocarbon vapors were not detected at Probes A,
B, C, D, F, G, H, L, M, and N. Probes were not driven in
the immediate vicinity of the underground storage tank
complex out of concern that any remaining tanks might be
punctured.
CONCLUSIONS
The results of the Soil Gas Survey indicate that
hydrocarbon vapors are located predominantly in the vicinity
of the former fuel islands. Although no probes were placed
in the immediate vicinity of the underground storage tank
complex, hydrocarbon concentrations as vapor were not
detected at the probes placed approximately 15 to 20 feet
from the underground storage tank complex.
i
f
