Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />March 25, 2019 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 2006 E Mariposa Rd, Stockton <br /> Facility Name: <br /> Family Dollar Store #11092 <br />San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department <br />1868 East Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California 95205-6232 <br />Telephone: (209) 468-3420 Fax: (209) 468-3433 Web: www.sjgov.org/ehd <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />The following was found in the hazardous waste (HW) storage area at the time of inspection: <br />- Two bottles of Tresemme Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray bagged and marked "AF" were found on the floor in front of <br />the HW storage area. Randy stated these items should have been placed in the AF HW tote. Randy placed the bag <br />containing the bottles into an AF HW tote. (IMG 4976-7) <br />- An empty container of Repone Suero Electrolyte Solution with Zinc bagged and marked "TX" was found behind a <br />black crate adjacent the HW storage area. Randy stated this item should have been placed in the TX HW tote. <br />Randy placed the bagged item into a TX OTC HW tote. Randy did not indicate what happened to the solution that <br />was once in the container. (IMG 4982, 4987) <br />- An AF HW tote, containing the following hazardous waste, had an accumulation start date of 4/22/18 and was <br />inaccurately marked as containing "Aerosol containers," "Raid," and "Products containing petroleum distillates" (IMG <br />4992): <br /> - A bag marked "AF" and containing six Modesa Nail Care Kits contaminated with an unknown blue liquid (IMG <br />4993-5). <br /> - A bag marked "AF" and containing two Modesa Cuticle Trimmers contaminated with an unknown blue liquid (IMG <br />4996-7). <br /> - Body Fantasies Signature Fragrance Body Spray (IMG 5002). <br /> - Homeline Wrinkle Releaser (IMG 5003). <br />- A TX OTC HW tote, containing the following hazardous waste, had an accumulation start date of 5/3/18 and was <br />inaccurately marked as containing "Cat Collar/Ink" (IMG 5000): <br /> - A Glade Clean Linen Candle, which the hand-held scanner indicated should have been placed in the ST HW tote <br />(IMG 5008-9). Randy placed the candle into the ST HW tote. <br /> - Three LAC Matte lipsticks contaminated with an unknown chemical (IMG 5015). <br /> - A single-bagged leaking container of Pine Glo Kitchen & Bathroom Cleaner & Disinfectant without absorbent <br />(IMG 5016-7). According to The StrongPak Guide to Potentially Hazardous Material Management Version Family <br />Dollar Retail 2011, found in the facility's Hazardous Waste Training Guide binder (IMG 5027), leaking containers <br />should always be double-bagged and absorbent should be applied to the leaking item in the bag (IMG 5040). <br /> - A single-bagged leaking container of Modeso Oil-Free Acne Wash without absorbent (IMG 5018-20). <br /> - A single-bagged leaking container of Lysol Clean & Fresh Multi-Surface Cleaner without absorbent (IMG 5021). <br />The cleaner was leaking out of the bag and contaminated the inside of the TX OTC tote (IMG 5023). Randy cleaned <br />the inside of the tote at the time of inspection. <br /> - Family Wellness Baby Oil (IMG 5054). <br />- A Dove Advance Care deodorant was found bagged, marked "TX," and located in between the outside of two <br />hazardous waste totes (IMG 5024-6). Randy placed the deodorant in a TX OTC tote. <br />- A ST HW tote, containing the following HW, had an accumulation start date of 5/1/18 and was inaccurately marked <br />as containing "Medicine" (IMG 5041, 5058-66, 5069): <br /> - Softee Daily Hair Dress Mango Butter <br /> - Family Wellness Hair, Skin, and Nails Biotin Dietary Supplement <br /> - Family Wellness Moisturizer Lip Balm with SPF 15 Sunscreen <br /> - Air Wick Essential Oils Refill <br /> - Softsoap Moisturizing Body Wash <br /> - A single-bagged leaking container of Suavitel fabric softener without absorbent. <br />Page 14 of 18 <br />FA0022690 PR0539984 SC001 03/25/2019 <br />EHD 22-01 Rev. 09/22/16 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR
