if NIT pp Q <br /> CLEARWATER <br /> G R O U P 1 N C <br /> Errvrronnrenta[ Srr¢rres <br /> • In September 1995, Clearwater also supervised the drilling of two vapor <br /> extraction wells (VW-1 and VW-2), two air sparging wells (SW-1 and SW-2) and <br /> one 81-foot deep investigative soil boring (CPT-7), a pilot test was conducted, and <br /> the results were presented in Clearwater's Report on Site Assessment Activities, <br /> Pilot Test, and Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring, dated December 15, 1995 <br /> 3 0 FIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> Field work was performed in accordance with Clearwater Field Procedures <br /> (previously submitted) and under the directives and guidelines established by the <br /> PHS/EHD and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board All <br /> monitoring wells were gauged and sampled on November 14, 1996 <br /> Depth to water was gauged from the survey mark at the top of each well casing <br /> Prior to sampling, all wells were purged of a minimum of three well volumes <br /> Well purging information is presented in Appendix A <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the monitoring wells using dedicated <br /> polyethylene bailers Well numbers and sampling information were recorded on <br /> F sample labels and documented on a chain-of-custody form The samples were then <br /> placed in a chilled cooler for transport to American Environmental Network (AEN), <br /> a state DHS-certified laboratory located in Pleasant Hill, California All groundwater <br /> samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA <br /> Method 8015 (5030/GCFID), for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes <br /> (BTEX), and methyl Cert-butyl ether (MTBE) by EPA Method 8020 <br /> D-101 4Q96 2 January 2, 1997 <br />
