This analytical work will be conducted by a
laboratory certified by the State of California. Additionally, the soil sample showing the
highest subjective evidence of contamination in the soil boring drilled adjacent to the
former tank cavity will be analyzed for organic lead by the method recommended by the
Department of Health Services.
GROUND WATER FLOW
The ground water gradient and direction of flow within the uppermost water bearing
unit will be evaluated using depth to water measurements and surveyed well head elevations
of the monitoring wells. Locations and elevations of the monitoring wells will be surveyed
by a licensed land surveyor, nepth to water measurements will be made with an electronic
water-level indicator to the nearest,0.01_foot.and obtained a minimum of 48,hours_after
well development.and before any pump ing_or.bailing_required_on-sitc for-purging or
sampling. All wells will be vented to the atmosphere for a minimum of 1 hour before
obtaining depth.to.water measurements. Venting is conducted to allow the ground water
to equilibrate with barometric pressure.
