Fact Sheet <br /> Orenco's AdvanTex® Treatment Systems <br /> for Residential Applications <br /> September 2004 <br /> Product Orenco's AdvanTex®Treatment System is a compact,pre-packaged product for <br /> onsite treatment of wastewater to very high("advanced")treatment levels. <br /> Applications New construction and repairs;residential and commercial;small sites;environ- <br /> mentally-sensitive sites;nitrogen-sensitive sites;pre-treatment of wastes. <br /> Technology A recirculating"packed bed filter"that uses a highly efficient,engineered textile <br /> material for the treatment media,instead of sand or gravel. Includes a pump system <br /> in the underground tank and typically comes with a telemetry-enabled control panel <br /> and a web-based monitoring system(for residential systems). <br /> Performance Treats residential-strength waste to advanced secondary standards(BOD and TSS of <br /> 5 mg/L or less when loaded at the same hydraulic loading rate used during NSF <br /> Standard 40 testing).This means the treated effluent can be used for subsurface <br /> irrigation. <br /> Verification Since R&D began in the early 90's,about 6,000 Orenco textile filters have been <br /> installed on private residential and commercial properties throughout North America. <br /> The AX20 model has been NSF-evaluated to ANSI/NSF 40 standards. Additional <br /> third-party testing/monitoring has been performed at a number of university and <br /> federal demonstration sites,including the University of California at Davis; <br /> University of Rhode Island;NERCC Test Facility,Minnesota(Natural Resources <br /> Research Institute); Clermont County,Ohio(EPA);LaPine,Oregon(Oregon DEQ); <br /> and Burnett,Washington(NODP). <br /> Benefits Consistent,reliable performance, even under peak flow conditions(e.g.,wash day or <br /> when entertaining guests);nitrogen-reduction;reuse of treated effluent for irrigation; <br /> compact size for small sites; reduced drainfield size(typically); pre-packaged for <br /> easy,high-quality installation;easily serviceable;low maintenance costs; low power <br /> costs of about$1.00-2A0/month. <br /> Physical Specs AX20 Filter: 7.5'x Y x 2.5% 300 pounds(larger commercial size also available) <br /> MSRP AX20(excluding tank, installation,and drainfield): about$4,500(with telemetry) <br /> Distribution A network of AdvanTex Dealers or outside Technical Sales Representatives,who <br /> oversee installation and regular maintenance of systems.
