Installation Guide: Residential AdvanTex" Systems
-t•. trs.v.1`'S'-'6an-e :shsa'_ir_r..s;7..-._..2-.l ._u:.{..a?.....:' ,...
Step 2a: Before excavating, consider the elevations required
for the tank and AdvanTex pod..The 2" filtrate return line should
be sloped a minimum of 114"per foot. If the filtrate return line MlRimum 1.r
is less than 6'long,provide a minimum of 1.5" total elevation
difference between the outlet of the filter and the inlet of the
RSV.The inlet invert of the RSV usually rests 3.5" above the top
of the tank. (See Appendix 3 on page 20 for a detailed diagram of Y •
component distances and measurements.)
The top of the AdvanTex pod should end up approximately 3"
above finished grade,to allow for settlement and drainage.Take '.r
into account any planned or proposed landscaping that might
affect the finished grade of the system.
Step 2b: Outline an excavation area(with chalk,paint,string., ;
etc.)for both the tank and AdvanTex pod. Excavate the hole for
the tank per the tank manufacturer's recommendations. Make the '
hole for the AdvanTex pod approximately 12" wider and longer
(at the base of the hole)than the footprint of the AdvanTex pod.
For multipod systems, make sure you have at least 44"between `
each pod.
Step 2e: Excavate to the proper depths as determined above '
for proper elevations. Make sure the bottom of the excavation
is free of debris, especially rocks and other sharp objects. If the
bottom of the excavation is uneven or rocky, lay a 3"bed of sand
or pea gravel and compact the material to create an even, smooth
surface.
Step 2d: If your installation calls for a discharge pump basin
(Modes 113 and 3B),you may want to set the pump basin in
the excavation next to the tank. If so, make sure the top of the Jr
PUMP basin matches the levels of the other riser lids and be sure
to orient the pump basin such that the grommets are oriented
correctly.
Step 2e: Follow the tank manufacturer's guidelines for setting ;
the tank. If you are installing the AdvanTex pod over the top of
the tank, follow the tank manufacturer's guidelines for watertight
testing, antiflotation measures, and backfilling before proceeding
with the AdvanTex installation.
i
RIM-ATX-AX-1 0 2004 Orence Systems*INC.
Rev 2.1,OW
