Orenco Systems Inc. March 2002
AdvanTex AX 10 Test Report
its daily rated hydraulic loading, which will include 3 wash loads. Each wash load includes
one wash cycle and 2 rinse cycles with a total loading of 138 L/wash load or a 414 L per
day (3 wash loads x 138 L).
Working-Parent Stress
This test evaluates the systems ability to perform when both parents in the family are
working. As part of the test, the system is loaded twice on one day, once in the morning
_ and once in the evening.
For 5 consecutive days the system should be dosed 40% its hydraulic capacity between
6:00 and 9:00 a.m. and 60% its hydraulic capacity between 5:00 and 8:00 pm. The dosing
during the evening period should include one wash load (1 wash cycle and 2 rinse cycles).
Power/Equipment Failure Stress
This test evaluates the systems ability to function during a power or equipment failure. For
this test the system should be dosed 40% of its daily hydraulic loading between 5:00 and
8:00 pm. After which time the power should be turned off, and dosing to the system
discontinued for 48 hours. Following the 48 hour power is restored, and the system dosed
60% its daily hydraulic loading, which should include 1 wash load.
Vacation Stress
This test evaluates the systems ability to function after a long period of no loading. On the
day the Vacation Stress is to be initiated, the system should be dosed with 35% its daily
hydraulic dosage between 6:00 and 9:00 am and 25% its daily dosage between 11:00 am
and 2:00 pm. At 2:00 pm, the hydraulic dosing should be discontinued for 8 straight days.
On the ninth day, following the initiation of the test, the plant should be dosed 60% its daily
hydraulic load between 5:00 and 8:00 pm, which should include 3 wash loads. The
regular hydraulic dosing for the plant will continue on the following day.
Colour, Odour, Oil & Foam
During the testing and evaluation period, the effluent from the system should be collected
for an assessment of colour, odour, foam and oily film. This test should be perfomed
before, during and after the stress testing period.
Noise
The system should not produce any excessive amount of noise. The amount of noise the
system creates should be measured 1.2 meters above the ground and in 4 locations, 6
Nova Tec Consultants Inc. Page 37 of 38
