U,
DiETz IRRIGATION
Engineers and Contractors
SERVING AGRICULTURE AND INDUSTRY
CA Lic.#638281
" EDO
January 11, 2007 +"''
EP't`/1RONk'TINT HEALTA
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division
Attn: Mike Huggins
304 East Webber Ave., 3`1 Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject. Fourth Quarter 2006 Inspection of MicroSeptec Unit Installed at Carmelo
Business Park, Tracy,California
Dear Mr. Huggins:
The MicroSeptec unit Model SM1200 installed at 7500 Carmelo Avenue, Tracy,
California was sampled on December 28, 2006. The sample results, which are attached,
showed a reading of 50mg/1 of nitrates. This translates to an effluent of 11.3 pm as
nitrogen. The system is now functioning as designed and the effluent is now meeting
design requirements.
An inspection was conducted during December to verify that all elements of the
MicroSeptec system are operating properly. No repairs were necessary.
During the third quarter the system had undergone an out of specification event, which
was documented in the letter dated August 16, 2006. At that time samples were taken
and there was question as to the validity of the results provided by GeoAnalytical
Laboratory. Because of the concern over the validity of the laboratory procedures, split
samples were taken on December 28, 2006. The sample delivered to GeoAnalytical
Laboratory and the sample delivered to Far West Laboratories both were within a
reasonable variation based on either the sample or the laboratory procedures. The data is
- attached from both laboratories. This confirms that the samples previously submitted to
GeoAnalytical Laboratory should be considered valid. The totalizing flow meter reading
was 1155120 gallons on December 28, 2006.
33233 S. Koster Road • Tracy, CA 95304-9142 • (209) 832-2910 • Fax (209) 833-1288 • Cell (209)482-7769
